Dominican Republic, star destination

19 août 2013

This increasingly diverse and accessible tourist offer, along with the continuous development of infrastructure and services, has led to a noticeable rise in the number of people who choose to vacation here every year.

The Dominican Republic - a country which continues to grow in popularity every year as a tourist destination - was the rightful winner of the "Star Country" accolade at the recent eighth International Travel Market Art & Culture Exhibition of Latin America and Europe, EUROAL 2013. According to the official figures presented at the event, the country welcomed some two and a half million tourists in the first half of 2013.

This is no surprise given that Santo Domingo has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since the 1990s; that many of the country's beaches are among the most beautiful in the world; and that there is increasing interest in the customs, gastronomy, music and regional traditional dances that make Dominican culture so lively and unique.

This increasingly diverse and accessible tourist offer, along with the continuous development of infrastructure and services, has led to a noticeable rise in the number of people who choose to vacation here every year and get to know the place. This in turn has generated what is known as residential tourism - investment by visitors in second residences in the country's main coastal areas, so that they can regularly spend their vacation at some of the Caribbean's most idyllic beaches.

Iberostate offers a wide range of options in terms of types of residence, as well as a long list of added services in order to meet the demands of visitors who wish to enjoy the advantages of residential tourism while still being able to access all the services a hotel can provide.

On the one hand, owners have their own home from where they can manage their schedule and organize visits and excursions to explore this beautiful country; and on the other they have at their disposal a wide range of attractions and special discounts when they simply want to relax on the beach and enjoy the all-inclusive services included in a day pass.
