Samaná is a province of the Dominican Republic featuring impressive contrasts between its green hills and white sandy beaches. It is a large peninsula of over 850 sq. km, larger than most of the islands in the Caribbean Sea, meaning that there is quite an area to visit, including the biggest coconut plantation in the world (if you consider its area in sq. m).

Ranging from the landscape of Los Haitises National Park, with its mogotes, caves and mangroves, and the many forest paths leading to the Salto del Limón waterfall, plus abrupt areas with lush vegetation where the native flora and fauna and the abundant water provide unexpected views for the eye to feast on.
