Wastewater treatment plants

23 May 2012

At Iberostate, we're strong believers in our responsibility to care for the environment.  That's why we want you to know that our residential complex has its own wastewater treatment plant. Through these actions we foster maintaining a sustainable community.

The Mayan Riviera is a tourist destination with enough hotels to accommodate 37 thousand guests. Yearly, this destination welcomes almost 3 million tourists from different corners of the world. For this reason, and many others, it is a priority to care for the environment in this area.

An important way to care for our environment is treating the wastewater that is generated and produced in large volumes. At Playa Paraíso, treated water is recycled and used for watering the golf course, the hotel grounds and the residential development. Furthermore, the sewage sludge is used as compost for the gardens distributed around the 5 hotels of this vacation complex.

At Iberostate, we're strong believers in our responsibility to care for the environment.  That's why we want you to know that our residential complex has its own wastewater treatment plant. Through these actions we foster maintaining a sustainable community.

Caring for the environment is the responsibility of all those who inhabit the planet.
