To mark children's month, Praia do Forte's Tamar Project is promoting a special program for children between October 7-13, to entertain, educate, and raise awareness about the importance of caring for nature, respecting fauna and flora, and protecting sea turtles.

These educational sessions will be interactive and entertaining, with children's video screenings, art workshops, guided tours to the areas protected by the Tamar Project, circus, theater, and musical performances, and plenty of playing around.

At the art workshops and video screenings, the children can have fun while learning with characters from the 'Tamarear' animations, which were developed for the Tamar Project to educate the children in a fun way.  All these videos were made in Bahia, with a view to highlighting and appreciating local work and culture. 

The guided tour takes place daily at various times so that everyone has the chance to understand and experience the work that the Tamar Project carries out to protect sea turtles.  Participants are also given the opportunity to see the animals being fed, touch sharks, and see baby nurse sharks - one of the highlights for the kids.
