The month of June is long awaited in the area, as the celebration of one of the saints with the largest number of devotees in Bahia is held: Saint John. Even though the saint's day is on June 24, festivities are held throughout the week, spreading into Bahia and the Northeast, to the sound of the traditional forró, full of the incomparable flavors of seasonal food.

Bolo de aipim, canjica de milho, paçoca de amendoim are some of the traditional delicacies prepared for Saint John's festivities. This includes spirits, of course: tasty drinks made from a huge range of ingredients to heat up the cold nights in Bahia at this time of year.

Lots of happiness, tradition, music, dancing, food, and smiles are shared at this very special time every year. Fun is guaranteed for adults and children. This a tradition of the Northeast and of Bahia which has been embraced by Iberostate.

Come and bring your family to take part in this dream.
