Following a partnership agreement with the Bahian Squash Federation, Iberostate Praia do Forte held the 1st Iberostate Squash Open, a tournament that brought some of the sport's biggest national names together and attracted several categories of player (amateurs, professionals, 1st, 2nd and 3rd class) from various parts of the country (Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Minas Gerais and Fortaleza) to participate in the matches and get to know our Condo Resort.

The tournament itself was organized by the Bahian Squash Federation, which managed the schedule and other key features of the exciting matches. Meanwhile, festivities for each day of the event were arranged by Iberostate, 3 mellow, joy-filled days with an excellent selection of music from DJ Sávio Savá, providing the backdrop to unforgettable moments for all those present.

The event took place from Friday May 30th through Sunday June 1st on the Iberostate Villas squash courts, delighting the tournament participants and other guests in a beautiful beachfront setting. As well as marveling at the condos and vacation homes, guests were also able to get a feel for the exclusive and unique lifestyle that Iberostate brings, while encouraging sports amidst the stunning nature and refined luxury of our developments.

On Friday May 30th, tournament entrants were greeted and presented with event gift packs during a coffee break with assorted healthy snacks, in keeping with the occasion. On the Saturday, the first tournament matches took place, as well as a delicious light lunch provided by the Grupo Iberostar kitchen.  On the Sunday, there was a delicious brunch to begin the day of final matches and a presentation for the Iberostate Squash Open winners. There were 14 prizewinners in total (including champions and runners-up) in the different categories.  The prizes included professional squash rackets, squash clothing, and R$4,000.00 divided among the 4 winners in the Open category.
