Angel León to debut his second Michelin star with Iberostarchef on Tour

IBEROSTAR Hotels & Resorts is once again showing its commitment to first-class gastronomy and will offer three new dinners from Ángel León, a chef recently awarded two Michelin stars, as part of Iberostarchef on Tour 2014-2015.

IBEROSTAR Hotels & Resorts is once again showing its commitment to first-class gastronomy and will offer three new dinners from Ángel León, a chef recently awarded two Michelin stars, as part of Iberostarchef on Tour 2014-2015.

Ángel León, who received his second Michelin star for his restaurant Aponiente, will be the next guest chef on Iberostarchef on Tour. During December, the chef from Cadiz will offer three dinners at IBEROSTAR destinations in the Caribbean.  

Iberostarchef on Tour began in November with Dani García, who also has two Michelin stars and who provided three exclusive dinners in Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Cuba.

IBEROSTAR is committed to showcasing the best national gastronomy in Spain and its destinations in the Caribbean.  The company organizes Iberostarchef on Tour, an initiative offering 30 dinners in a year, from 16 Michelin-starred chefs, at its hotels in Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Cuba, and Spain.

This initiative began November with Dani García, a chef with 2 Michelin stars, who provided three hugely successful dinners at the following hotels: IBEROSTAR Grand Hotel Bávaro (Punta Cana, Dominican Republic), IBEROSTAR Parque Central (Havana, Cuba), and IBEROSTAR Grand Hotel Paraíso (Playa Paraíso, Mexico).

The Iberostarchef on Tour events for December will be presided over by Ángel León, who will offer three gastronomic soirées at IBEROSTAR hotels, with the first being on December 4 at the IBEROSTAR Grand Hotel Bávaro in the Dominican Republic (Punta Cana).

The menu chosen by this prestigious chef is as follows:

Fish chistorra and butifarra (Spanish sausage)

Anchovy and alioli empanadilla (stuffed pastry) / smoked sardines on olive stones

Cuttlefish egg emulsion

Sea plankton rice

Glazed oily fish belly

Milk and biscuits
