Airlines operating in the Dominican market have announce that they are to increase their flight routes to the country because of a significant rise in the number of Dominicans abroad and travelers interested in making the Dominican Republic their destination. Copa Airlines reports that annually 5% of their passengers travel to or from the Dominican Republic.

Companies making such announcements include JetBlue Airways, Air Europa, Seaborne Airlines and Copa Airlines.

Air Europa has increased its flight frequencies from Dominican airports, with an extra weekly flight compared with previous years.

As from May, Jet Blue will include a new route from Newark International, Liberty, NJ, to Santiago, RD.

The country is to benefit from a total of seven new routes to its various airports.

It is evident that the country remains a favored destination for those seeking a few days in paradise.
