Country

The Dominican Republic is located in the Caribbean archipelago and is the second largest country after Cuba. The estimated population is 10 million inhabitants and the official language is Spanish. Santo Domingo is the capital and where you'll find the first Cathedral and Castle of America, both declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO, as well as the marvelous Bavaro Beach.

Until recently, sugar production was the main driving force of the country's economy. Thanks to the hotel sector and the implementation of residential and vacation complexes, tourism is now the main source of income for the country. The Dominican government has driven this growth during the last years, investing in infrastructures and promoting the creation of services.

Considered in the world ranking as one of the top tourist destinations, the Dominican Republic is a privileged enclave where famous international  celebrities have chosen to establish their place of residence.

Area

The Dominican Republic is the right choice. It has several international airports - Punta Cana is the closest to Playa Bavaro. The tropical humid climate allows you to enjoy pleasant temperatures almost all year round. The hottest month is August, with temperatures between 84º F and 86ºF (29ºC and 30ºC) . During the rest of the year, the average temperature is 79ºF (26ºC). February and November are two perfect months for enjoying the Caribbean Sea.

Altagracia is the province where you'll find the Iberostate residences, with unusual spots to discover on excursions and safaris. You'll find natural landscapes overflowing with amazing fauna and flora. The leisure offer includes sports and water sports, horse shows, exotic animals and lively evening entertainment. For the more restless spirit, visit the neighboring provinces. In the northeast, enjoy the Samaná Peninsula, where you'll find the Limon waterfall or the Saona Island to the southeast.

The upbeat Dominican character and their hospitality allow us to enjoy a pleasant stay. Traveling from one place to another is safe and easy. And don't forget to taste the local Creole cuisine in the nearby towns. Dominican nightlife is also very entertaining.

The resort is well connected to the rest of the island. It is only 16 miles (27 km) from the Punta Cana International Airport, between Higüey and Playa Bavaro. In the last few years, infrastructures have been improved and today there is a main access road through Boulevard Hotelero and Avda. Estados Unidos.

Three-fourths of this exclusive residential area are green spaces fully integrated into the landscape and 244* apartments and 30* villas with private pools inspired by the local architecture. The quality of these homes is magnificent and they are all located around the 18-hole golf course designed by the prestigious architect P.B Dye. Sites

Punta Cana is a paradise for living well. There aren't enough hours in the day to enjoy everything it has to offer.

EARLY MORNING IN PARADISE
For the early risers, there is nothing better than having breakfast at the club house and starting the day playing a round of golf. A stroll to the beach and taking a cool dip in turquoise blue waters is the best way to whet your appetite and enjoy the fruits of the sea in one of the beach bars. Places to try once and try again, like the restaurants "Capitán Cook" or "El Pulpo Cojo".
For water lovers, spend the morning enjoying your favorite water sports like windsurfing, sailing, scuba diving with colorful fish or swimming with dolphins.
If we want the smallest ones to delight in all the fauna and flora, organize a visit to Manati Park.

AND IN THE AFTERNOON...
If the beach hammock and beach bars are not enough for taking pleasure in the sunset, go to the spa for an afternoon of R&R, especially after hitting the shops.

FOR LATE NIGHTERS
In Punta Cana, enjoy a wide range of nighttime leisure activities. The upbeat Dominican character invites you to enjoy long nights of music and cocktails. A wide range of bars and night clubs with different ambiences, from Dominican rhythms like the bachata and merengue to Latin beats like salsa.
