This year, the 9th Tempero no Forte Festival of Food will pay tribute to the region's most typical and characteristic ingredient - seafood. There will be an exploration of the host of delicious dishes that can be prepared with these delightful foods, which are so abundant on the north coast of Bahia. Seafood also represents the main source of income for the fishing community in the Costa dos Coqueiros region, of which Praia do Forte forms a part.

Several restaurants in Praia do Forte town will welcome chefs from all over Brazil, who will create special dishes for the occasion using seafood as the main ingredient. There will also be classes for the public on Brazilian food and cooking, and the region's resorts and hotels will host lunches and dinners with special guests.

The 5th Festival of Art and Culture will include numerous interesting activities, such as shows with various styles of typical Brazilian music, among other attractions; there will be an exhibition and sale of local crafts made with materials associated with the region, and visual artists and photographers will create works exclusively for the occasion, paying tribute to seafood, the theme of the event.
