Located just 14 kilometers from Praia do Forte, the village of Imbassaí is loved by Bahians and tourists alike, with its beaches surrounded by dunes and coconut groves, bathed in fresh water where the river meets the sea. As well as natural beauty, the village stands out for its artistic program, especially during the Imbassaí Art and Culture Week (Semana de Arte e Cultura de Imbassaí, SACI), which celebrates its fifth edition in 2015 with a focus on popular culture from the north coast of Bahia. The program will run daily from September 25 to October 4, with musical shows and artistic performances, events showcasing the ancient wisdom of the region's communities, and local gastronomy and handicraft.

SACI 2015 will also include attractions that are now regular fixtures of the event, such as the eco bike ride, children's activities, and the Operation Clean Beach (Operação Praia Limpa) efforts, in partnership with the NGO Jogue Limpo.
