The not-for-profit organization promotes free social and educational initiatives centered around art and influential popular events, particularly involving Africans and their descendants. The main focus of the Didá Association is to provide women a forum for expressing their ideas and getting involved with activities. There are 11 classes offered for adults and children, including: percussion, African dance, drama, capoeira, handicraft, singing, keyboard, drums, cavaquinho, and sopro, catering to between 600 and 800 children, some deprived, throughout the year.

In addition to the classes, the social project extends to the Didá African carnival dance troupe, made up of women who are in a poor financial state, are victims of domestic violence, have no access to education, etc. The Didá Association offers support and helps them to exercise their citizenship through art and culture.

The Lavagem Iberostate will involve children supported by the Didá Association, who will showcase their dance and art, which will surely be delightfully received by all the guests. There will be a sponsored lunch at the Iberostate Praia do Forte from 11am to 5pm on a delightful afternoon that will be just the beginning of the ongoing collaboration that the development intends to implement with the social organization throughout 2015.
